Blues Master Robert Allen, Jr. performing live at Saloon on Calhoun on June 16, 2018 along with Dave Braun on drums, bassist Rick Holmes and featuring Tom Sobel on Tenor Sax. A good crowd attended this event. Saloon has not only a great food menu and plenty of seating, but for musicians and those in attendance, a great sound and light system. The performances are streaming in real-time on videos screens located in the venue.
I captured this video using an iPhone 7 Plus. The most important element in filming any performance is lighting. If a gig doesn’t have great lighting, your video will show up very dark, amateur quality and uninspiring for viewers. As we all know as musicians, people in the audience capture your gigs and post them on their YouTube and FaceBook feeds, giving you and your band FREE exposure.
